ImageStream to Speak at LinuxWorld Expo

ImageStream's Chief Operations Officer, Doug Hass, will present a training seminar on network quality of service (QoS) at the LinuxWorld Conference & Expo in Boston. The seminar will take place on Wednesday, February 16, 2005 from 3:45 pm to 5 pm at the Hynes Convention Center.

As broadband and converged voice, video, and data services continue to penetrate the business and consumer markets, IT managers and service providers must understand QoS techniques and the application of this technology to their networks. A proper QoS design helps to avoid network bottlenecks caused by converged services, file sharing, and other bandwidth-intensive applications. Without QoS, enterprises and service providers are susceptible to bottlenecks and service degradation.

This presentation will cover the key concepts of quality of service, with special emphasis on wireless providers. The presentation includes an explanation of standard queueing methods as defined in the Differentiated Services RFC, as well as applications of these methods through generic case studies.
