ImageStream Announces New Channelized DS3 Cards at ISPCON

At Spring ISPcon in Baltimore today, ImageStream announced that it has begun shipping its new low-cost channelized DS3 cards, the PCI 921-CDS and the PMC 921-CDS. The new cards are designed to be used in ImageStream routers, or in OEM applications for Linux that require channelized DS3 ("CDS3") connectivity.

ImageStream’s new CDS3 cards are available for PCI and PMC applications. The cards support 32/64-bit, 33/66 MHz bus operation with 3.3 or 5-volt signaling. The new CDS3 cards can independently address each of the 672 DS0s in a DS3, and they feature an M13 multiplexer with T1 framers that can address each of the 28 T1s in a DS3. The cards support full or fractional T1 and DS3 speeds.

ImageStream Chief Operations Officer Doug Hass commented, "ImageStream is a market-driven company, and our customers told us that they wanted a channelized DS3 card for our routers. We have also noted some interest from our OEM customers." Hass continued, "We have worked hard to deliver these cards, and we are proud to offer one of the lowest cost CDS3 solutions available for any router."

The new CDS3 cards can be used in a wide range of applications including WAN and Internet routing, Voice-over-IP (VoIP), medical imaging, and digital video on demand. Retail pricing for the new CDS3 cards is $4,995 for both versions. For more information, please contact an ImageStream representative or see the ImageStream Web site.
