ImageStream Joins Part15.Org
ImageStream Internet Solutions has joined wireless networking industry organization Part15.Org as a corporate sponsor. Part15.Org works to assist and train wireless Internet service providers, and to promote wireless networking as it gains momentum in the industry. ImageStream joined Part15.Org as a part of the company’s plan to show its Linux routers at the Fall WISPcon II in Chicago.
Part15.Org organizes and operates several wireless industry training seminars and expositions including WISPcon-US in Chicago, WISPcon-Europe in Frankfurt, and WISPcon-Pacific in Sydney, Australia. These WISPcon events are the only industry seminars that focus exclusively on the needs of wireless ISPs.
ImageStream plans to demonstrate its Linux routers at the upcoming WISPcon II conference in October. In addition, ImageStream will present two seminars including “The Router Revolution: Using Commodity Routers to Save Money,” and a seminar on configuring quality of service features using diffserv under Linux.
Part15.Org officials anticipate that the Fall WISPcon II conference will have double the number of attendees that participated in the first WISPcon conference. ImageStream officials said they expect wireless ISPs to have strong interest in the company’s low-cost Linux routers, especially in the Rebel and Gateway router which the company says are the world’s lowest cost DS3/E3 and OC3 routers.
