PMC 800 Series

PMC 800 Series

ImageStream's PMC 800 series cards are low-cost multi-function IEEE P1386.1 PCI mezzanine WAN adapters for Pro Series routers or OEM products running Linux. The 800 series provides one or two full duplex HDLC interfaces running at speeds up to 52 Mbps per port. The PMC 800 is based on a modular design that provides 1 or 2 HSSI interfaces.

The Hitachi Freedm8 high-speed synchronous controller presents a full duplex clock and data interface to the front-end modules. The Freedm8 processes HDLC frames, manages frame buffering for the local FIFOs and transfers frames directly to host RAM via the PCI bus. The Freedm8 manages link list descriptors and data buffers directly in host RAM. The PMC 800 series is an ideal choice for communication platforms that require low-cost high-performance HSSI interfaces.
