Pro Series CompactPCI WAN Adapters
ImageStream's Pro Series CompactPCI WAN adapters have generally migrated to the PMC form factor. PMC format cards are more flexible because they can be mounted on a wide range of carrier cards and processor blades.
The 720 series is one of the few remaining dedicated CompactPCI WAN cards that ImageStream offers. The 720 series provides HSSI, DS3 and E3 interface options with an Intel i960 co-processor to support line speed performance with small packets. ImageStream continues to offer the 720 series because its advanced circuitry cannot be reduced to fit on the smaller PMC form factor cards. In addition to the 720 series, ImageStream offers a 6U carrier card which is used to install PMC WAN cards in the slots of a Pro Series router.
