TransPort

The TransPort is ImageStream’s entry-level Industrial Series router. The TransPort provides standard features including NAT firewall, QoS, IPsec and SSL VPNs, VRRP, dynamic routing, interface bonding, packet filtering, peer-to-peer traffic control, and more. The TransPort's extensive set of features makes it an ideal router for a wide range of networking applications that require ISP and enterprise-class features and performance.
The TransPort includes a high-performance VIA C3 processor, 128 MB memory, three 10/100 ethernet ports, and one expansion slot for network adapters. It can be bundled with single or dual port network adapters for synchronous serial or T1/E1 applications. In addition, the TransPort's expansion slot supports add-on interfaces for ethernet, 802.11a/b/g wireless, basic rate ISDN (BRI), ADSL, or 56 K dial-up applications.
The TransPort leverages the ImageStream Linux router distribution, which provides support for NAT firewall security, IPsec and SSL VPNs, quality of service (QoS), VLAN tagging, VRRP for LAN failover, dynamic routing, packet filtering, bridging, peer-to-peer traffic control, and more. ImageStream Linux also includes the Inetics platform, which provides a tightly integrated Linux kernel, management software, and the Inetics Driver Component Architecture (IDCA). IDCA supports WAN protocols including PPP, Cisco HDLC, frame relay, ATM, and SoftCell ATM. Inetics also makes it easy to troubleshoot LAN and WAN connections by providing real-time port status and performance monitoring.
The TransPort is ImageStream’s lowest priced Industrial Series router for branch offices and other small-scale premise routing applications. It offers wire-speed performance and unwavering reliability in a small but durable steel chassis. The TransPort can replace Cisco 1700, 1800 and 2600 series routers, and it offers a low-cost solution for virtual private network (VPN) and quality of service (QoS) applications where wire-speed performance is required.
